we will need to set up a test in the lab to replicate this. the XP driver has quite a different architecture to the Windows 7 one, so there must be some conflict between them sorry.

I look forward to your response, I have been trying every so often to upgrade my macine to windows 7 everytime there is a new release of wingate, however, have been unable to do so due to the above issue.
Here are the full steps to re-create:
1 install openvpn with a valid vpn connection
2 install wingate
3 establish openvpn connection
4 restart wingate services
5 request any client on network to tunnel internet traffic through wingate machine
6 browse the internet on client machine (not local wingate machine)
7 ** ERROR ** Wingate machine crashes - results in either bluescreen or a straight re-start
8 To stop error go to TAP adapter properties and uncheck wingate network driver
Although step 8 stops the crash from happening some sites and services do not recognise the macine being in the locality of the established VPN connection thus content and information cannot be viewed by the non wingate client machine.
