WinGate Setup Using 3G/4G USB Dongle

Help on WinGate setup. I'm currently using a 3G/4G USB Dongle as primary internet. currently using WinGate 8.5.1.4840

Hi Matt,

the client pc doesnt show up on the client activity monitor.
i get a "cant communicate with DNS server" error

Can you verify that WinGate is working by setting the browser on the WinGate server to connect to a proxy and using 127.0.0.1 port 80 as your proxy? Now you should be able to browse the internet and you'll see the activity appear on the activity panel.

If that works, set your client machine to use a proxy and point it at the WinGate server's internal IP address.

If you don't see anything on the activity panel then I would check for firewalls or routing issues that are stopping the connection. I'm not 100% sure that your USB dongle will work with WinGate, do you have a different adapter you can try with?
