Hello All,
I need a credential rule that combines IP address and MAC address.
Is there a way to manage this?
Or is it better to make a policy to manage this?
If via policy PSE for help.

Hi
how are you hoping to combine both? You mean if a MAC is something and also the IP is something?
How is the IP address assigned? If with DHCP, you could maybe use a reservation to tie the IP to the MAC.

Adrien

Hwllo !
IP addresses are fixed at the non W-Lan components - W-Lan guests are via DHCP.
The reason I need this ist that we have guest in the new and they test till the come into the net.
The W-Lans have another range than the static IPs.
static: 192.168.0.x
DHCP: 192.168.1.x
I don't allow more than 5 via DHCP ... they are all IT guys - and "hack" another IP address to use the net ...
Now when I pair the static IP with the MAC of the PC'S the problem is solved - I hope and think so.
Than the guys can't use the net cause the IP and MAC doesn't match ...

Hi,
When you say they hack another IP address do you mean that they're giving themselves an address in the 192.168.0.* range?
Couldn't you just use a MAC address policy where you check the MAC address and if it matches they can browse?
Thanks,
Matt

Hello MattP,
corret !
The give themselves a 192.168.0.x address - and the problem ist that if the use an address that is from an internal PC the PC isn't able to come into the net cause the IP-address is twice in the net ...
I'll try it with an mac address fitler - thats a good idea.
