Hello all,
ich have the following Problem:
I use 1 Pc as Server with Wingate 5.0.10; build 848
Win XP prof. and Office 200 Prof.
Also i use on this PC outlook 2000 and it works with all useres on this PC well
in addition i use 3 Clients (2 LAN and one Notebook via WLAN)
The configuration:
1 PC WIN98; fix IP;outlook 2000
1 PC WIN 2000; fix IP; outlook 2000 or mozilla thunderbird
1 NB WIN XP pro;DHCP; outlook 2003
not one of these clients can receive or send email to/from my ISP (smtp and pop3).
But the miracle ist, that some time ago all works well.
I think i have to make some configurations in my wingate - Server (btw i don't want to use the wingate email server).
according to the dokument "Mail_Server_5_Scenarios.pdf" i think it must work also with LAN-Clients.
Can you help me please?
thanks in advance
Wolfgang

Well, the best thing to do would be to upgrade to v6 - your license keys would work fine with the latest version.

thank you for this answer.
i make a download from WG 6.1.4 and at first i use it as Trial-Version.
I made the configuration as it is described in the manual.
It seemed to work well (one user on the server and a second an a client), but after 10 or 15 minutes ( i tried to install a second client)
the same problem apears.
It is not possible to send or receive email from my ISP.
any Idea?
thanks in advance

HI
Do you use WinGate for things other than email? I.e. WWW access etc.
Do other types of access still work?
