Sending e-mail from internal network

Dec 09 06 12:14 am

Hi,
I have recently encountered a problem sending e-mails.
Receiving them is ok, but after upgrading wingate to 6.2 sending e-mails has stopped.
Sending e-mails from the WG computer works ok.
I tried to un-install and re-install WG but it has not helped.
In the SMTP log file i have no entries of activity, just that the service has started successfully and configuration change.
Any help please?
I am running on WIN-XP and do not have WG-Client installed on my PC's.
(As it has been working ok before without the client installations i have never done it)

I seem to have broadly the same configuration and the same problem.

The test function on Outlook produces perfect results.

In the history there is reported activity but the mails "don't go nowhere man".

Are you using:

1. WinGate's email server?
2. ISP email Server?

And how do you connect if it is an ISP email server?

1. NAT?
2. WinGate Email Server?
3. WinGate POP3 / SMTP Proxies?
4. TCP Mapping?

In the SMTP log file i have no entries of activity, just that the service has started successfully and configuration change.

If you are using WinGate's email server then you can turn on debug logging in the SMTP Settings, try and send some emails and then open the log file for the detailed information.

If you are not using WinGate's email servers / proxies then turn them off.
