Information on the WWW Proxy Log

Jan 11 07 12:02 am

Hi,

had an instance where Adobe tried to download and update many times onto my computer. I would like to know if the log entry posted below means that the ~16mb file was downloaded - or only requested.

Thanks Mark

If the file was partially downloaded, it appears 7.3Gb of data may have been chewed up vainly trying to download the file.

When I tried to download the file manually, Adobe download manager 'hung'. When I created a override for 'adobe.com' in the Kapersky 2.0 plugin, the file downloaded straight away. AdbeRdr709_en_US.exe never found its way into the quarantine folder.

Thanks Mark

Hi Adrien, thanks for the info on the log. Could there be an issue with the KAV 2.0 plugin? Where the user is not being notified that there is a potential problem with a file? (ie the file is quarantined?)

Thanks Mark

Hi

check the Kaspersky AV for WinGate log file, it may be logging some sort of problem scanning the file.

Hi Adrien,

have checked the log and there are no reports of problems scanning files - mind you I did not have it in debug mode. Should I?

Regards,

Mark
