WinGate Mail: My ISP denies connection to 25 port

Feb 06 07 10:08 am

I use WinGate SMTP server and POP3 Collection for users internet mail. My ISP forces to use its SMTP server for internet outgoing mail (ISP has blocked port 25 to external SMTP servers). Before I switched on WinGate SMTP server, users used ISP's SMTP for outgoing mail.

How can I make WinGate SMTP to use my ISP's SMTP server as a relay?

Hi

GateKeeper->Email->Delivery

Choose deliver to Gateway, enter your ISP gateway details.

Adrien, thank you. WinGate SMTP deliver new external mail successfully.

But I faced a strange situation. I’ve done this modification in WinGate SMTP settings, but old e-mail was still in queue (Mail\spool\domains). I do not know why. Restart of WinGate did not help. WinGate SMTP always tried to connect directly. As a result it was not delivered. As it was a test message it's not impotent for me now.

good point.

It remembers where it was trying to send the mail before.

You could try dragging the RCP files out of the domain folders for old domain jobs, and into the folder for the ISP gateway.
