Hi

i have a few pc behind wingate and they just cant pull mails from mail.isp.com.sg...(they can resolve this domain)
when i tried from the wingate machine it works....

there is no blocking of anything ..even extended networking is not installed.

If you are connecting directly to your ISP's mail server, try disabling the mail services in WinGate. To disable them permantly, right click on them and change the startup to disabled.

check also on the Services tab for a POP3 proxy and stop that too.

If there is no ENS / extending networking then a direct POP3 connection will not work.

oh no...this sounds like the answer...you mean if no ENS is installed...it doesnt allow a direct pop3 to the isp mail server?/?

any work around for this other than installing ens?Thank You

No, not that I am aware of, mind you the proxies are excellent, I use them only, all the time, a little more configuration intensive perhaps.
