Two license cost? 2 user home LAN question

Jan 24 04 2:51 pm

What is the pricing for a two user Wingate license?

I have wireless home LAN that consists of a desktop running XP Home and a laptop running XP home. Two Linksys WUSB11's are used.

File sharing works and I can browse the internet on the laptop thru another proxy called AnalogX sharing the Desktops connection with IE. I have a 56k connection and my ISP is AOL.

I am trying to play a game called DAoC and haven't been able to have the laptop connect to it over the LAN(the game acts like I dont even have a connection to the internet), so I started looking into other potential solutions and this is one I came across.

I thought I had read that it was free for a network of only two users, but maybe that was mistaken? I can't find anywhere on this site where it says that or pricing for 2 users.

Anyway, Wingate has so many options. I am somewhat overwhelmed.. I am going to work on it more tonight, but I just want to browse the internet and be able to play the game with both computers. The Firewall and bandwidth resourse allocation both seem like nice features too.

I downloaded the latest Wingate.. it says it is pro but I probably only need a very basic version of Wingate. Is there a basic version that happens to be free for only two users?

Thanks for any help,
dogkat1

A while ago (2 years or so) there used to be a free 2 user version of WinGate called WinGate Lite. However this was dropped, and now there are two versions, WinGate Plus, and WinGate Pro. The pricing can be found at:
