Access to Internet via LAN

Postby lanagate » Sep 05 04 8:30 pm

Hi,

My system (windows XP) has two NIC's one is connected to the LAN (192.168.1.4) and the other is connected to the DSL/Router (192.168.1.5). The proplem is the system can not give me access to the both sides, only for Lan or Internet.
How to access to the both sides with EMS/wingate ?

Regards.

Hi there

From your description you sound as though you could run into potential routing issues as both DSL router and LAN nic are working of the same IP address range and so may get confused where to send clients outgoing (Internet requests).
Is it possible that the IP address range for the LAN Nic can be set to a different IP range ...say 192.168.2.*

Can I suggest that you take a read of our Knowledge base article on setting up WinGate with a DSL router like your scenario.

http://support.qbik.com/index.php?_a=kn ... ubcat&_i=1

Its the article at the top of the list.
This might help in getting your config set correctly
