Wingate 5.2.3 (901) and IRC Servers

Postby shimurlz » Sep 03 04 5:40 pm

Hi ! I use wingate 5.2.3 (901) to share my internet connection (dial-up) with another pc in my lan. I don't use wingate client on the lan pc. When we use the same irc net, not necessaraly the same server, we are seen by the irc server like clones, and some functions doesn't work properly, like fileservers, the client computer can't start a dcc chat session, etc ...
Is there a way to solve this problem ? I think the solution is something like the server "see" ours pc like different pcs not the same pc.
The irc client software used in both pcs is mIRC.

P.S. Sorry by my bad english

Unfortunately not. I'm assuming you are using NAT, correct? With NAT, you are all seen on the internet as one IP address - your public IP address (Dial-up).
