Unable to install Net patrol 1.1

Hey everyones,

Am having wingate ver 5.2.3 working excellent up to date, due to network administration awareness i want to incorporate net patrol 1.1 to my wingate so that to be more specific about any threat and to monitor my LAN traffic, also am worried since is a free download valid for 30 days, will it lock my wingate all together in as much i dont want downtime.

Hi Cyrus,

NetPatrol will only function with version 6.0 of WinGate or later. So you would need to upgrade your installation of WinGate to 6.0.3. You don't need a new license key for that, you can use your existing 5.2.3 key for that.

The only interaction it has with WinGate is the ability to block and unblock IP addresses that are misbehaving / attempting intrusions (As you've specified in the rules). So NetPatrol won't lock you down once the time-frame for it has expired.

Just to clarify, NetPatrol and ANY version of WinGate will happily exist together on the same machine, however if you require interaction between the two then you will need NetPatrol 1.1 or above and WinGate 6 or above.
