Reverse Proxy - Multiple Web Servers

Postby imcanadian » Nov 01 04 10:53 am

My network consists of a cable modem that connects to a linksys wireless router. On the router I have forwarded port 80 requests to my server running Wingate. I have 3 web servers behind the proxy and would like to route traffic to the approprite server based on URL or destination IP (My ISP is redirecting 3 external IPs to my Modem). Is this possible and how does it have to be configured?

Hi

You can do it by IP address, but not by host tag unfortunately.

You would need to create 3 TCP mapping proxies, bound separately to one of the IP addresses each, piping through to the relevant WWW server.

Adrien. Would you please elaborate on this topic? I have a very similar requirement. Do I need to add additional NICs to the Wingate box configured to the other IP addresses or what? Thanks.
