Wingate

Postby Eddie » Nov 03 04 11:55 pm

Recently, I have relocated the Wingate server from Windows NT4 to Windows 2000 server. After everthing is set up as before, now every so often the web page will display Http 404 Page cannot display and I'll need to restart the Wingate service in order to continue to use the Internet. If I don't restart the Wingate service, noone can browse the Internet.

We are using Wingate version 5.2.2 and Windows 2000 server with SP4.

Thanks for your help in advance.

How are your clients connecting through WinGate? Can you still resolve DNS at that time?

Just a side thought, with a version 5.2.2 license key you can upgrade to 6.0.3 - a version which has numerous improvements over our earlier releases. It might be worth it, as we've made quite a few changes/fixes to the driver and to our handling of HTTP traffic.
