Can't connect to WinGate FTP proxy.

Postby Bernoldi » Jun 25 05 3:20 am

Hi there!

I'm trying to connect in my external FTP server (by leech ftp) through WinGate but I receive this message "Could not login to 192.168.1.1" (this is the WinGate IP address).

The servers request are configured...
What can I do to solve this?

Best Regards.

Hi,

Just to clarify, are you trying to connect in to your LAN from the internet? So you're running an FTP server that you want to make available to external connections?

If so then you'll want to create a port mapping in the Extended Networking menu to redirect traffic on port 21 to the IP address of the FTP server. You should check "don't translate source IP".

Hi,

I´m trying to connect from my lan to internet. My clients are configured to connect to 192.168.1.1, then WinGate redirect (in theory) to the FTP server on the internet (ftp://heniq.net). I´m receiving "Could not login to 192.168.1.1" from LeechFTP.

Thanx!
