Trouble with wingate 6.0.4

Postby QuaDD » Sep 20 05 3:12 am

I've spotted one bug(or maybe feature) which is not listed in manuals FAQs etc. When user presses "log off" button, his session remains active so he cannot log on from another computer(simultaneous logins are forbidden by policy), thus I have to terminate their sessions manually. Frankly, I'm tired of it:)

Hi,

What kind of authentication are you using?

I use java client authentication, by the way it doesn't matter what time of "session timeout" is set, anyway session remains active after it has passed.

Hi

Due to various issues, and compatibility, and browser support issues, we don't really recommend the Java login any more.

WinGate's HTTP server will do HTTP authentication, which can be used instead. Have you tried that? It works seamlessly with the browser, doesn't require them accessing the Remote Control Service, and is supported in every browser independent of the Java VM installed.
