Client does not have Internet Connection

Hello,

i have a problem with wingate. the client does not get a internet connection, internet explorer says "Suchseite konnte nicht gefunden werden" .. in english it means something like "Can not find Searchsite(page)"

Server IP:

192.168.0.1

Client IP

192.168.0.2
installed the internet client application

Server -> Router -> Client

I cant use the Router.. because its a DSL Router not a ISDN ROuter !
the booth clients can ping eachother.. i dont know why the WinGate Internet client does not work...

Okay i got a update:

The Internet Client can ping external ips (google.de) but he can not release the name...

maybe there is something with the dns settings..

Hi

sounds like a DNS issue. Do you see DNS requests being made by client machines showing in GateKeeper activity?

Are your client machines configured to use WinGate for DNS (or alternatively the DSL router)?

thanks for your answer.

i fixed the problem,

i had to configure the dns server in my clients network configuration.

works now perfectly !

wingate is a nice programm, keep up the good work :)
