FTP Problem - Windows 2003 Server - PDC

Postby rubantin » Nov 11 05 9:09 am

I just installed Wingate on my PDC - I disabled DNS and DHCP on wingate. I set all the clients to use the same proxy server for all protocols. Web surfing is flawless. Secure and unsecure sights work fine... But I can get NO ftp connections.

What do I need to do?

Hi Russ

How is the machine Wingate is running on set up for networking? does it have 2 network cards (or more)?

Do you see any entries in the firewall tab in GateKeeper when you are using FTP?

Did you install the winGate client on the client computers, or how are they accessing FTP through WinGate? (i.e. direct through the proxy, through NAT, or the client, or SOCKS server)?

In the WGIC, set iexplore.exe to "Local Access"; you may also want to check how the Central config is setup. GateKeeper --> WinSock Redirector Service --> Central Config
