provide us about the setup of your network and how WG fits into the picture.
And what I think ChrisH basically means is tell us what you have tried, tell us what you can confirm, and provide some network info.:
For Example:
I am new to WinGate, and am a beginner to networking.
After browsing other forum posts, I have checked that my network cards are correctly set as Internal / External.
WinGate Server, Version 6.1.1.
Installed on Windows XP SP2.
192.168.0.1 / 255.255.255.0 (Internal)
ADSL Router (External)
ENS installed
ZoneAlarm installed
Client computer, Win98.
Connection methods, NAT and WGIC.
192.168.0.2 / 255.255.255.0
DNS 192.168.0.1
Gateway 192.168.0.1
Norton Internet Security Installed
Bit Comet is installed on the client computer. Needs to have port xxx mapped to client computer.
Anyway Zeipherus.
For Bit Torrent Programs you will want to use the NAT connection method. Please see this article on how to setup and trouble shoot.

If you also have the WinGate Internet Client (WGIC) installed on the Client computer, then you need to tell the WGIC to leave alone the bitcomet.exe, so it can use NAT.
That’s done by placing the Application name into the WGIC settings, and setting it to local access.
Some File sharing programs also need ports mapped to them; does your program need that? What port numbers?
