Postby dijas » Dec 28 05 12:14 am

I am new with wingate . i got wingate 5.2.3 as a trial to check the option wether i can use it as a gateway for sending and receiving emails on client's computers. If anybody can guide me how to do this? Please give the configuration detail. Itried to do so by mapping and the method got from white pages, but failed.

So, i need help immediately in this regard.

I would recomment the latest version of Wingate - v6.1.1 - this version is more stable than v5 with lots of additional features, including very feature-rich email support.

6.1.1 is what you will want to have installed.

After you have updated, as a suggestion, you could use the NAT connection method to allow the LAN clients to connect directly to their Mail Servers. Or you can setup the WinGate mail server to send and receive email on behalf of the client.

A guide for the NAT connection method is available from http://support.qbik.com/index.php?_a=kn ... ils&_i=123

A guide to set up the WinGate mail server is avaialbe from http://downloads.qbik.com/qbiknz2/downl ... ations.pdf

If you need more assistance, please explain your desired results in a bit more detail
