We have a network of about 50 computers all using WinGate v6.1.1 as their proxy server.
A few of these computers sometimes have problems displaying images on some webpages.
I have tried different settings for the cache but that doesn't seem to make any difference.
The problem is similar to those described here:

Please help,
Hans

Do you have any of the PLugins installed -KAspersky or Puresight? What about policies to restrict certain web sites or files - some web pages get graphical content from other sites? Is it always the same machines that have the problem? What browser is being used? Is it a certain type of image that isn't being displayed - .gif or .jpg etc.?

Hi all,
By any chance is Mozilla / Netscape involved also?
Does the page layout anything like this one:
http://ifixcomputers.com.au/wingate/pro ... ption2.gif by any chance?
It appears to be unique to the GRE engine in Moz, which is now to be superceded by SeaMonkey, so we'll see how it renders pages by proxy.
As an aside, FireFox and it's engine are not effected.

I have the same problem. With IE6 some images are not loaded. Logs report that are especially .gif images (until now I've not seen any other image type yet).

No plugins.
No restrictions.
Yes, it's the same computers that have this problem. Those computers that are having this problem is running Internet Explorer under both Windows 2000 SP4 and Windows XP SP1.
Those images that I have noticed not showing have been jpeg images.

If this client machine in question uses NAT - does it show the images correctly?
