New User Needs help

Feb 23 06 11:36 am

I am brand new. I downloaded the free trial. After browing the help extensively, I cannot find two key subjects.

First is ip mapping. There is a reference, but it describes forms of mapping that are not at all what I need to do. I have a cable modem with 5 available ip addresses and I need to map each ip to a different server on a NAT network. for example 70.182.146.132<-->192.168.1.250, I want all traffic destined for the extermal address to pass through to the server internally.

Second isssue is QoS. I would like to run voice over ip through the cable modem as well. There is no help hit for QoS, SIP or other voice over ip term. Hence, it may be that Wingate has no ability to manage SIP protocol or deal with such usage.

Hi,

First of all, at the moment Wingate does not do mapping in the way you mentioned it - Wingate mapping is based on port numbers, rather than IP addresses.

Again, at the moment Wingate does not provide special handling for VoIP. It does have, however, bandwidth throttling control, which can be used to support quality of service requests.
