Help with a terminal server

Mar 10 06 4:38 am

Our situation is that we have a single user "guest" who's password is changed 3 times a day. We are a college and we withhold this password on a per lesson basis.

Great :) everything works fine......

However, on our lovely new terminal server :O (we recently bought a wg6 license to get multi-user features specifically) when one user logs on (without it configured) everyone gets internet access. Ok understood, need to set up properly... lovely done.
However once configured as a multi user server no one gets access.

Now reading the help files its not clear how i set this up correctly.

Currently we use the java logon with the internal wg database. this works ok on the "fat" clients however thin clients it does not.

Please could someone explain the configs of each section to get this working correctly? if so could this example config be added to the wingate help file for others in this situation.

Over all we need to achieve access to the guest password, changeable 3 times a day on fat and thin clients.

Any help would be most appreciated

Thanks

JAVA client is no good. The problem is that it uses the Remote Control service as it's authentication provider (Hence the requirement for binding to the local IP as well).

You need to use either HTTP Auth or the WinGate Internet Client.
