Customer Access

Postby kpotter54 » Mar 21 06 7:08 pm

I'm running Windows 2003 Small Business Server and we have had many request for a web page that customer can access to update there profiles, work order and etc... My question is I have change in the extended networking service to Low and try to access the web page that the customer would access and the page times out. Is there a way that I can setup were that web address would be the only thing that the firewall would let access from the Internet.?

Is the website on the WinGate server or on a server behind WinGate? To bypass the firewall you'd either need a service running (Such as a webserving WWW Proxy) or open a firewall hole on the port the webserver is listening on. If you're using the WWW Proxy Serving you can use policies to restrict it (Or only publish the one page there) but I suspect you'll find the best security in that regard comes from the software (IIS?) that you use to host the page.
