Gate Keper problem

I run wingate 5.0.2 on win 2000 adv server,active directory
In database options:in user and group managment i choose windows
nt,2000,xp user database,in user authentication i choose either wingate or windows account.
some time when i open gatekeeper i receive error that fail receiving
data from wingate server ,and all users in my network cant use any service of wingate,problem is not solved until i restart the server.
rq:when opening gatekeeper i use default port options ,and use current
windows logon or user name :administrator,password : password defined
when installing wingate.
What could be the problem??????? beacause restarting the server every
time is not a good way solving problem.

5.0.2 is a pretty old version. Many problems have been fixed since then.

I'd upgrade to at least 5.0.7 or the latest 5.2.

If you're reluctant to upgrade try this.

Stop WinGate Engine - Delete History.cdx & Histroy.dbf from WinGate directory - Start WinGate enging.

Let us know how it goes.

Just an additional; it wasnt till 5.0.8 that WinGate really worked with AD to a satisfactory level, so as Larry said, i would try upgrading.
