Persistant System Message ref AV Plug-in

Message is: "This plug-in is not supported by Wingate 6.1.0 (build 1068). Please contact Qbik New Zealand........ to obtain an updated version of the plug-in"

Problem is that I don't use or have the AV plug-in loaded, so why am I getting the message & how do I get rid of it?

Do I just need to get the updated version & then not use it?

Hi

We had some problems like that with upgrades from older versions. It's an old registry key referring to a shim for Visnetic AntiVirus.

To get rid of the message, use regedit to delete the key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Qbik Software\WinGate\Data Scanning Plugins\Installed\Antivirus

Then restart WinGate
