Wingate Server and Win2000 Server Both Connected to DSL Rout

Postby rovirjm » Dec 10 06 2:59 pm

I am running a Win2K server connected to the same DSL router as my Wingate server and for the life of me I cannot get it to work. I have setup my LAN PCs mannualy to point to the Wingate server as the gateway yet I cannot access the internet. Bothe servers have 2 network cards so I am pretty sure that I have a routing problem but do not know how to debug it. Is their a way to tell how my clinet internet requests are being bounced or if I have a DNS loop going on?

G'day, by any chance what are the network usage for the NIC's in the Wingate server, internal / external?

Oh any chance the internal NIC for your lan has a gateway, if so it shouldn't for Wingate to work, whilst the external one should have a gateway as would the NIC's in all the clients.

Hope this helps.
