NAT Timeouts

Jun 12 06 9:02 am

Hi all!

I am interested in subject. Clients are using client-server application (based on oracle32 client), which is connected to the server in internet port 1630 in real time. That's why I enable ENS and permited only one port (for outgoing packets). Everything is working fine but if client stop using application (but doesn't close it), no activity, aplication says that connection with server lost!(all data that have been queried from server lost) And user have to do the query again....
First off all I asked the developers of application and server. They said that this soft is using in different companies and such troubles concerned with firewall or speed of internet chanel. We have 256K speed and 10 users. Are there any advices from you concern with timeout of session in NAT???

By default TCP connections use 4 min timeouts before terminating - you can change this value using Advanced Options application.

genie, thanx!

But in "Advanced options" I see....TCP traffic - 0 sec.

Wher is the truth?

Which means "Use default value" - that is, this 4 min timeout.

Excuse me for my english.
I have the same problem, but with Pervasive.SQL 9 client/sever. My
client program timeouts after about 4 minutes. What can I configure in Wingate for NAT timeout ? May be in HKLM\Software\Qbik Software\... ?
