Setting 3-hours sessions

Postby fabrizio » Mar 16 07 12:51 am

Hi.
I need help for a configuration (I didn't find anything about in the Documentation).
Our customer wants us to configure the proxy in order to make the user logged for a period of 3 hours even if the logged user closes the browser and the session should time out 3 hours after the logon even if the user hasn't been idle in that period (if the user is browsing and the period has expired, the user has to redo the logon).

Is it possible?
Thanks
fabrizio

Is it possible, at least, to keep the session active after the browser has been closed?

Hi Fabrizio,

I don't think it is actually possible to extend the session after the browser closes as that terminates the session.

Hi MattP,
thanks for your reply.

I've found something on the Qbik Support Helpdesk website.
At support.qbik.com/index.php?_a=knowledgebase&_j=questiondetails&_i it says to change some registry parameters to increase or decrease the period in which the session is kept active.
Making those changes, actually, the assumed user remains assumed for more than 30 seconds (it remains assumed for the number of seconds I have set in the registry).
But when I reopen the browser it popups the logon mask even if the user in the GateKeeper seems to be already assumed.
