Windows Update - problem today?

Is there a problem with Windows Updates or have we got a problem with WinGate. Windows Update on a new PC build is sat there at the "Checking for the latest updates for your computer" for 30 mins so far.

I know there was a problem in WinGate prior to v6.2 with Windows Updates but we're on the latest version.

Hmm, rebooted the PC, drilled it through the firewall and the updates started. Changed back to using proxy and updates are now carrying on through WinGate.

Maybe a transient problem.
