Need help.. some of emails I send are going to wrong address instead of destined account. I actually type correct email address on my outlook 2003 from client PC but when email is routed via wingate server the email delivery picks another address and the email ends up at wrong destination. Has anyone experienced similar problem ? Please advise… I am using latest Build 1137 and have recently changed under Mail server delivere method from “ Deliver Directly” to “ use gateway“ incase it helps but not yet sure if my email are still going to destined addresses.
Thanks for the advise... By Delivery Error did you mean error messages from the mail server ? I was not getting any .. emails go without any problems but they end up at the wrong address. The only time I come to knwo that my email has gone else is when someone notifies me that they got an email from me which is not destined to them. Unless someone informs me I will not be sure and not everyone tell you so. I can enable SMTP debug and wait till some one lets me know but in the meantime not sure if emails are going to right destined address. Is there anything I can do instead of waiting ?
All clients on our LAN send directly to WinGate on the server for forwarding... I can not send mail and have it go to the wrong place on demand.
On the SMTP SERVER.txt log file I do see the emails being sent from the Wingate. I am also unable to make out from this log if the email has gone to intended reciepient or not... How do you find out ? Can I email you the txt file so maybe you can pinpoint the problems ?
If you would like to, you can create a support ticket at the online helpdesk and include an SMTP Server log file with it. We will be happy to help you with this issue.
