Hello,
I have a configuration problem with my proxy server.
On my server there are three network adapters: the first is the NIC for the LAN side, and the other two are linked with two different routers, to get two different ADSL lines.
The problem is, if I explicit some connection scheme inside the Gateway tab, and I try to say to the Wingate service to use either ADSL network adapter, the service stop working; when I delete this new setting, and there is no connection scheme inside the Gateway tab, the service return available.
So I’m not able to say Wingate the adapter it should use, because it never works if I make some choice.
There is some problem with this kind of configurations? What should I do to solve my problem?
My Wingate version is 6.2.2.
Thank you for your support

Hi
Are you also running windows firewall on that machine? Check for alg.exe running in task manager. If this is running, then it breaks gateway control in WinGate, since WinGate communicates IPs and ports to the driver for connections that need to be routed out a particular gateway, but ALG.exe changes all the port numbers between the engine and our driver, so the driver doesn't match on those details to know that the connection needs to be redirected.

Hello adrien,
on my proxy server, I'm running both Windows Firewall and Kaspersky Antivirus Workstation Firewall; I tried to add the exception on ALG.exe, but nothing happens, it doesn't works.
Have you other solutions I can try?
Thank you for your support!

Hi
You actually need to stop ALG.exe from running. If it is running, it will mess with ports. Adding an exception only means it will allow an application to make connections, but doesn't prevent it from messing with it.
I'm not sure if the Kaspersky AV workstation firewall will cause problems or not. We have had issues in the past, but worked with Kaspersky Labs a while back to get them resolved.

Hello,
sorry adrien, I'm not sure I understood. What do you mean when you say "stop ALG.exe from running"? Should I kill the process from Task Manager?
I tried this solution, but my problem still persist, if I specify a connection scheme, nothing works.
Any idea? Thank you!

Hi,
Are you using Wingate's Extended Networking Driver [ENS]?
If you are then it has the firewall component.
You could disable the Windows Firewall and KAV Firewall as well to use Wingate's firewall as the perimeter security system, this should allow you to connect.
