How to configure cascading Server that needs Authentication?

Postby hav_rayr » Aug 09 09 4:52 am

Hi:

Im Using Wingate 6.0.4 in my computer, my company has a ISA Server and they recently changed authentication to USER + PASS + IP, it used to havee just USER + PASS but they change it.
I used to connect from home to my computer via modem and every time since they change this the wingate ask me every time for my User and Password and i can't navigate at all.
Just for you to know I'm using Wingate with the basic users DB and not connecting to my OS or any DNS. Could this be the issue?
How can i configure the Wingate to pass my domain user and password everytime i request an url???

Facts:
-Wingate configured in a Domain PC using WIngate's basic Users DB.
-ISA Server requires Authentication. Before: only User + Pass (Worked fine) --- After: IP + User + Pass (Not working any more)
-Client connects via modem and can't navigate at all. User & Pass prompts on every request.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide and let me know if you need any more details.

Best Regards,
Ray

Hi Ray

WinGate's WWW proxy doesn't support authenticating to an upstream proxy sorry. I'm not certain whether it will pass the request for credentials back to the client or not - will need to test.

I don't understand what you mean by IP + user + pass. Does that mean you enter a username like XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX\username

or something else?

Regards
