How do i make this work if my network has wingate installed in it?

if i install wingate on the client (only the server has one now), would it make my network different? sorry i'm a networking newbie.

When you run the wingate installation on a second (and further) machine on your network, it detects the server (if it is already running), and asks you if you wish to install the WinGate client software (as opposed to installing another copy of the WinGate Server software).

This software should not interfere with your network.

ive already installed wingate client. but it says i couldn't connect to the network (only for the webcam service)

yahoo states to install a 5100 tcp port... how do i do that?

Hi there

If yahoo have told you to install a 5100 tcp port then I am presuming that what this means is that you have to open a hole in your firewall on port 5100 (tcp) to allow the webcam traffic to enter and your network.

This can be done by going into the Extended Networking Services on the "System" tab in GateKeeper on the WinGate Server and creating this setting under the "Port Security" tab (as per the WinGate helpfile Extended Network Support -Port security ).
