Postby Beri » Feb 03 10 9:26 pm

Hi

I have a problem here. Configured wingate 5.0 on windows 2k professional as proxy server. Whereas i have LAN of 15 PCs with Class A IP scheme but it cannt access internet via proxy server. However when change tht IP scheme to Class C , it works fine and great.. I have restriction of using Class A scheme...how can i access internet using tht one.

Wingate V5.x is very old now, you can upgrade to the latest version at Wingate.com which will use your old licence key without problem to give all the features and improvements since that release.

When you do, check the adaptor usage is correctly seeing 'internal and external interfaces' in the network tab for your class A subnet.

When you change to a Class A subnet, can you ping the Wingate server from a client?

Can you ping a client from the Wingate machine?

There is no gateway configured in the internal NIC in the Wingate Server, just an IP & Mask too.
