Login Terminated..

Postby pheakavoin » Jan 10 04 3:01 pm

Hi, World!

I face with login wingate sever problem. With the following message,
"Connection with Wingate server terminated."

I don't know, what's cause this. I cannot logon wingate with my daily login account, and i surely know that noone made change with this application.
( I have tried to log in localhost and the bound IP)

As experienced, suppose we bound www, pop, smtp,, to a specific static IP.
Sometime we cannot use those service. when I check the problem is binding IP was stoped(unbound) accidentally.

So, i am afraid that Remote Access Control in System tab IP was unbound even with 127.0.0.0

I really want all your support to solve this, before the last decision.(uninstall)

Luck!

To get you logged in again, the easiest solution would be to get rid of the Remote Control Service. It is recreated on WinGate Engine startup, so that should be no problem.

First though, all warnings when editing the registry apply. Make sure you have an appropriate backup / System Restore Point. (Export the key as well).

Now,

1. Stop the WinGate Engine
2. Open Regedit
3. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Qbik Software\WinGate\Services
4. Find the "Remote Control Service" key
5. Export it to a backup file
6. Delete the "Remote Control Service" key.
7. Close Regedit
8. Restart WinGate Engine

You should now get a syslog that indicates the Remote Control Service has been recreated. However, I'm curious about this loss of bindings. Is your internal network card wireless ?

Hi, Pascal

We met on VPN forum, after getting your recommendation on how to solve Wingate VPN problem. I've tried to do as your comment, but unfortunately I can't logon to Wingate server that day. That's why we meet again in this forum.

My internal NIC is not Wireless. Sometime, but not usually just rarely, bound IP was stopped. so we have to bind IP again to make it work.

Now, I'm trying to do as your comment on Wingate logon.
LUCK!
