Wingate Weblogin Authentication

Postby amtinge » Aug 26 11 1:16 pm

I have a small Windows Server 2003 installed, with shared folders to specific users. However if one plugs the cable into the computer they get instant internet access. Wingate Server's NAT is on. I want to build some weblogin authentication So they don't get instant access anyone who just logs into the wifi network or plugs the cable in.

Something like this... is this possible with Wingate?

Hi

this sort of thing is possible in WinGate 7, since you can conditionally divert web page requests (e.g. to a sign-in page) and use database queries to determine if a user is known (the sign in page can write to the database to register the user as known).
