BSOD on Windows Server 2008 R2

Postby makss_87 » Apr 28 11 1:40 am

Since recently my server 2008 R2(proxy-server using wingate 6.6.4) began to fall into about BSOD three times a week.
There are some problems i've faced:
1. When i try to connect to server using remote access it begin's to slow performance and after few minutes falls into BSOD.
2. Some time my server works witout any problems and then it suddenly falls into BSOD so i need to reboot it and run wingate engine manually. moreover, sometimes i need to reboot my server twice to make wingate engine work.
3. I've tried to use verifier to find unsigned driver and i've found out that qbikhkvistaamd64 driver causes the BSOD
4. Also there's a messages like ENS undefined memory problem.
Please help me to solve the problem

Hello!
I've installed this driver but the problem still hasn't gone.
Now i have the remote acess to the server but sometimes it falls into BSOD but not every time!
And the "undefined ens memory problem" still appears!
i've tried to add parameter MaxNetBuffers in registry editor but still don't know that it can help.
Please give some ideas!
Thanks.

Hi

how long did you have WinGate running on that server before you started seeing problems with it?

Back in april when you first posted, you said you'd just recently started to see the issue. So something must have changed. Was there any additional software or hardware installed in that server around that time?

I'm wondering if it's a conflict with some other new software that was installed on that system.

i've installed the internet access monitor which allows to view wingate logs more convenient in april, nothing else was insatalled!
after the problems appeared i had uninstalled it. but the problem still had place to be.
after installation of the new driver you send me, i was able to connect to server remotely and installed internet access monitor again.
now the ens problem appears once a day, sometimes in two days. Sometimes it doesn't apear the whole week. so i can't find the reason it happens.

HI

it sounds like possibly some sort of network traffic on your network is causing WinGate to leak buffers in the network driver or something like that, causing memory exhaustion.

You can confirm memory issues by checking available non-paged pool in task manager (or perfmon.exe).. When this memory is exhausted, the system bugchecks (blue screen).

That would explain its intermittent behaviour. You may need to watch for a correlation with other software or systems running on your LAN .

I can have a look at your system remotely if you would like - if so, just submit a support ticket to support@wingate.com to let us know details - we recommend TeamViewer.

Is it possible to do this on saturday, when it is not critical to disconnect the internet for users?
