Wingate upgrade

Postby nico04 » Feb 17 04 12:06 am

Hello,

I currently use Wingate V3.0.4 on a Wint NT4.0 machine. I have a 6 users license. It works well except that it crashes about once per day. Sometimes I can stop the engine and restart the engine. But most of time I have to completly reboot the server. I guess I have to upgrade Wingate. But my server is an old machine. What is the minimum system configuration to run Wingate. I am also interested in Antivirus for Wingate.

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Hi

Most machines that can run NT4 ok can run WinGate fine as well, we run WinGate on a number of older P3 400 machines and worse with good results... actually our main gateway which did virus scanning was until recently a dual PPro 200

Hello Adrien,

Thanks for your answer.
Are 64MB of RAM enough to run Wingate and NT4 ?
What about the migration from 3.0.4 to last version ?
Do I have to manually reconfigure all parameters of Wingate ?
