Is Wingate right for my client?

Postby HighTechWyoming » Feb 19 04 5:34 am

HI, I have a client who currently has wingate installed on a peer to peer network using only Windows 98 or below OS. He also uses Windows Messenger. Owing to changes in his business and the computers, he needs to upgrade. It looks like Wingate can still be used but Windows messenger cannot because it is not supported in XP. Can he just use wingate to e-mail within his intranet? He would like to e-mail internally but not have all the hassle and security with everyone using an external mail, that is why he used the old messenger. Any thoughts you might have would be helpful. I am completely unfamiliar with this program but he seems to love it, especially being able to monitor the internet activity on the remote machines.

Thanks
