WinGate as default gateway

Jan 31 14 5:26 am

Hi all.
I have to use wingate (7.3.1.3535) as default gateway for some computers but I can't have it work.
Wg is installed on a Windows 2008r2 server with 1 nic (192.168.0.12)
firewall is enabled (all inbound and outbound traffic to wg is allowed).

Wg is used as http proxy on many computers of this network and works fine.
ENS is installed and configured as foolows:
Enable extended network driver: yes
General purpose internet sharing (NAT): yes
Support multiple subnetworks (router): yes
Enable bandwith control: NO
Monitor for dead gateways: NO
Firewall: Disable Wingate firewall

Nic is marked as internal in network connections of wg.

No proxy intercepting is enabled within the www proxy service (or other services).
No policy regarding nat are in place.
One policy regarding www proxy traffic is active.

On client computers I set 192.168.0.12 as default gateway (no proxy settings in IE nor netsh winhttp as set).
Firewall on clients is disabled via gpo.

When I try to browse via IE I no response (If I set proxy settings it works fine).

What should I check to have nat functionality work?
thank you,
regards,

Matteo

If you check the properties of the NIC do you see the WinGate Network Driver?

Hi labull,
no, the Wg network driver isn't in the list of the server nic, how should I proceed?
Thanks,
Matteo

If you do click on Install - Service - Add you should see the Wingate Network Driver and be able to add it.

That was the problem, after installing the network driver (in the nic panel of the OS) Nat works fine.
Thank you
Bye
