Wingate 8.1

Postby bentech » Jul 31 14 1:06 am

Hi,

I have installed the trial version of Wingate 8.1 on a Windows 2012 server, so far so good.
Now my question; after purchasing a paid version do I need to uninstall the trial version or with the installed key it will be a fully functional version also linked to my AD?
At this moment in the trial version it isn't possible to use the AD.

Thanks for your answer. Ben.

All you need to do is "Add license" from within the WinGate Management Console's Licensing panel. You won't need to reinstall the product.

With the trial version of WinGate you should be able to test all features, even the Enterprise ones. You will be prompted with a message that the feature might not work if you eventually buy a license that doesn't support that feature, but at least in the trial you can test it. You can test WinGate in different modes via the Trial Options menu in the WinGate Management Console.

For Active Directory support you will need to purchase a Professional or Enterprise license.

Regards
Aaron
