I have a new XP Pro system and have installed JVM from Sun. The Java Applet Window pops up but is in all grey and there is nowhere to login the User Name or Password. Anyone knows why? I am on WinGate 4.3. The Java applet has been checked under Advanced tab of the Internet Options and Scripting of Java Applets has been Enabled under Security. System has been restarted.

Hi,

What Sun Java are you running? I had 1.4.2_02 installed on computers here (WinXP Pro/Home) and tthat version was giving me problems

I downloaded and installed 1.4.2_04 VM and these problems seem to have stopped.

Goodluck, let me know if this is the case??

Mine is the 04 version. Just downloaded it on Apr 15. I wonder if that is because of the older version of WinGate. Still working on it.
