Password error

Postby oren » May 04 04 1:42 am

Hi,

The most strange thing happened to me today...
I used to log on to Wingate as "administrator" on "local machine" and with a certain password... Today however GateKeeper refused to log me on, saying the password is incorrect...

I haven't installed or uninstalled anything on the computer - NOTHING HAS CHANGED since the last time I logged in, except for adding a new user for Windows...

Any idea what might be the problem?

Thanks in advance for your help,
Oren.

Hi,

Are you using the NT database or the WinGate database? Is it possible that your NT password changed?

Hi Matt,

I'm using Wingate's database... my Windows 2000 password has not been changed...
(If I understand correctly - if I'm using Wingate's database there is absolutely no connection between the Windows users and Wingate, right?)

Hi Oren,

I have just sent you an email with instructions on resetting the password, hope that it helps.

You're right, if you're using the WinGate database then the NT database has no effect.

Regards,

Matt
