I use Wingate with the Direcway DW4000 system. There's only a few extra configurations to make.
First, Direcway installs it's own weird acceleration proxy for http. So you need to cascade the WWW Proxy Sevice in Wingate to the proxy installed by DiRECWAY (usually 127.0.0.1 port 83).
Second, the secure connections won't work via the cascaded proxy. In the WWW Proxy Server (in Wingate Services) you need to unselect the "Allow ANY port to be connected" in the Https tab, and add the 443 port to the list. Then you will need to create another www proxy service with all default configurations (ie. NO cascading proxy, NOT adding the port 443 to the Https Tab). Call the new server service anything you want (like "SECURE") and make it listen on port 81.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you need further assistance.
