Probelm with Gatekeeper

Postby respon » May 05 04 4:28 am

I have installed wingate 5.2.3 on windows 2000 server and have generated users using wingate database.

The users access the internet using WWW Proxy.

Lately i am unable to logon to the wingate Gatekeeper. I get A a message "Connection terminated. Please check the port"

I am logging on to gatekeeper from the local machine.(Server)

Kindly suggest a solution. I have not deleted the "Everyone" user.

regards

Hi,

It might be best if you send in your WinGate registry file and I'll try and see why this is happening. It could be a problem with the remote control service.

Before you send in the registry file can you just confirm that you are connecting to the localhost, ie you have log in to to Local Machine checked.

If you choose to send in your registry file, you can send it to me, mattp at qbik dot com. Find the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Qbik Software\WinGate
choose export file from the registry menu and email it in.

Thanks,

Matt
