Problem with history (history.dbf)

Postby guiem » May 03 04 9:56 pm

Hello,

I have a client with this problem: the history.dbf contents are deleted seemingly in a random way, and doesn't keep info about accesses from more of 1 or 2 days ago.

Thank you.

What are the history options set to ? It could be a purge on the history database that makes it seem as if random deletions happen. Or check that there are no filters applied to history. (History Properties)

As to the history no longer updating ... that's an odd one. If you put traffic through WinGate, does anything get added ? A potential option is to backup the files, then delete them. This forces WinGate to re-create the files. You won't have the full history then (Except in the backup) but if there is a problem with logging to them, at least it should restart then.

Hello,

I'll answer your firsts questions in a few hours.

About the second part of your answer, the history updates correctly, the problem is that its contents are deleted every 1-2 days.

Bye

i think that it's a schedule in the scheduler to purge history at a certain hour. it's a default installation.
