Downloading File Through Wingate Only Works Once

We have a customer who uses Wingate for Internet access for their W98 clients.

We have recently created a website for them which allows downloads of small *.ZIP files via HTML standard SAVE dialog. For some reason, those clients using W98 through WINGATE to gain access to the Internet are able to download the Zip file only once. On subsequent attempts a blank screen is presented during the download dialog and the HTML process hangs.

The site works with no problem if WINGATE is bypassed.

Is this a caching issue that the calling HTML web page needs to be aware of, or some setting in the WINGATE software that needs adjusting?

hav u tried accessing or downloading files through wingate with caching disabled? to disable, untick "Enable additions to cache" and see if downloading continues

also try upgrading ur wingate to 5.2.3 or beta 6, its worth a try :)

Changes to WINGATE are not our call since they are in the customers control. I was wondering if this was/had been a known problem and there might be an HTML workaround to stop the caching from happening etc.

If not, then I guess we'll have to get them to try a few things to fix the problem.
