hi
i have a problem with wingate again
i installed win 2003 Server on my server
after installing wingate and running it if i restart my computer the wingate wouldn't goes to online mode, it shows me following error :"the wingate connection terminated" and goes to offline mode
i set following properties on wingate but again after first restart i have problem :
caching-->
-uncheck enabled cache lookups
-uncheck enabled additions to cache
remote control service properties-->sessions-->
-uncheck sessions time out.....

before i install this version of server, i didnt have problem like this
how can i solve this problem

Hi Masha,

Can you please check that you're logging into the local machine? You can try unchecking the box and changing the server name from localhost to 127.0.0.1

If this doesn't work can you please export your registry settings and send them to me, my email address is mattp at qbik dot com,

to export your registry settings:
open the registry editor
find the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Qbik Software
in the registry menu select export file
save somewhere handy and email it in

Hi Masha,

I have found your problem, it looks like you're removed the everyone group from the default access rights and have not added the administrator so you can't log in as administrator. You can fix this by doing the following:
open the registry editor
find the following key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Qbik Software\WinGate\DefaultRights\Access\Recipient0
change the value of the username string to administrator
restart the WinGate engine
log in as administrator
