Wrong status display in WGMonitor

Postby olaf.krause » Oct 04 03 12:24 am

If your start the Wingate Monitor in a Terminal Session (win 2003 Server) it alway shows the wingate service as not running (even if it runs). Also if you start Gatekeeper it tells you the the service is not running and ask if you want to start it.
If you answer with yes everything works (but the moni is still showing the wrong state)

OK, we will test.

GateKeeper and the engine monitor both check for the existence of a mutex to see if WinGate is running.

It is possible that mutexes behave differently under terminal services, as there would be security implications with normal operations of them.
